Khaleda urge people, party workers come to street

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia yesterday urged the people as well as party leaders and activists to take to the streets simultaneously to make the ongoing movement a success.
General secretary of Dhaka city unit of Mohila Dal Farida Yasmin disclosed this after she, along with a delegation of the organisation, called on the former premier who is confined by police at her Gulshan political office.She quoted Khaleda as saying, “The movement must be successful and there is no alternative to it…Thus, everybody has to take to the streets unitedly.
Farida Yasmin told reporters that the health condition of Khaleda Zia was improved.
“We have come here to enquire about her welfare and have exchanged pleasantries,” she added.
The 9-member team entered the BNP chairperson’s office at about 1:00pm.
The other members of the team included Mili Zakaria, Nilufar Yasmin, Rehana, Rita Ali, Rokeya Sultana Tamanna and Atika Khandaker.
Later, pro-BNP organisation Nurses Assoication of Bangladesh led by its president Bilkis Jahan Chowdhury, vice president Hosne Ara, Health Technologists Association led by Alija Sharmin also visited Khaleda Zia and brought cooked food for the BNP chief. – Staff Reporter
