Khulna University teachers demand VC’s resignation

Pro-BNP teachers of Khulna University (KU) on Thursday demanded resignation of Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Fayequzzaman on allegation of irregularities and corruption. The teachers under the banner ‘Sachetan Shikkhakbrindha (Conscious Teachers)’ placed the demand at a press conference at the local press club.
On behalf of the teachers, Prof Dr M Rezaul Karim, former president of KU Teachers’ Association, said they are being victims of unjust, discrimination and harassment by the university authorities for various reasons.
Accusing incumbent VC of being engaged in corruption, Prof Rezaul Karim said the university is experiencing a ‘deadlock’ due to the irregularities, corruption, nepotism and deceptive activities by VC Prof Fayequzzaman.
A six-month session jam has already been created at the University, he mentioned.
