A day labourer died from electrocution in Miakhannagar area under
Bakolia thana in the city on Tuesday.
The deceased M Kabir, 32, a resident of Dakkhin Bakolia area of the
port city, hails from Khajuria village in Katua upazila of Chandpur.
Sultan, a police official at Chittagong Medical College Hospital
(CMCH) outpost, said Kabir came in contact with a live electric wire
while working for installation of a tube-well at the house of one
Islam Saudagar in Miahkhannagar area at noon and received injuries.
He was rushed to the CMCH where duty doctors declared him dead.
