Language movement veteran and freedom fighter Sayeed Uddin Ahmed died of old age complications at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) early Saturday. He was 85.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in-charge of RMCH Dr Jamil Rahman said he breathed his last at the ICU around 3 am.Sayeed Uddin Ahmed, also a columnist, left behind a son, a daughter and host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Advocate Robi Uddin Ahmed, son of Sayeed Uddin Ahmed, said his father had been suffering from various old age complications for long and was admitted to the hospital on February 23 as his condition deteriorated.
He will be buried at Hetemakha graveyard in the city after his namaz-e-janaza. – UNB
