The ruling Awami League lawmakers expressed solidarity to demonstration at Shahbagh to press home their demand of death penalty of Jamaat leader Quader Mollah for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
Lawmaker of Chapainawabganj Ziaur Rahman said, “The young generation, demonstrating at Shahbagh, is now motivated by the spirit of 1971 and I am expressing solidarity with them.”
“The ongoing movement of the young generation will leave no place for war criminals in the country,” he added.
Another lawmaker Noni Gopal said, “The Rajakars must be tried at this soil and they must be hanged.”
Lawmaker Dr M Sirajul Islam told the House: “BNP-Jamaat thought they can mislead the nation, but young generation proved that Banglaee can’t be defeated.”.banglanews24.com
