An anonymous letter sent to the Chittagong Chief Judicial Magistrate has threatened to blow up important government installations if BNP MP Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, facing war crimes charges, is not released.
The letter that reached the office of magistrate Mir Ruhul Amin on Sunday afternoon threatened to blow up Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner building, Chittagong Court building and Customs building.
It also threatened to kill the family members of the magistrate if the demand goes unheeded. Confirming the incident, CMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam told nournalists that they were looking into the matter. – UNB
