Savar, Dhaka – A day-long workshop on ‘Library Services and Digital Database Management’, organized by ‘Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)’ held on March 25 at JU Senate hall here on the campus.On Saturday morning, JU VC Prof. Dr. Farzana Islam inaugurated the workshop program as the special guest while Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Abul Hosen and Treasurer Prof. Dr. Abul Khair were present as the special guests.
The workshop focused on the digital library services, management and automation using ‘Koha’, a worldwide open source integrated library system.
Moderated by, director of IQAC and teacher in-charge of JU central library Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Majumder, the key note paper was presented by DIU Librarian and Head of the Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, Dr. Md. Milan khan.
A total of 55 took part in the workshop that ran from 9:30am to 2pm.
