A farmer was killed and another injured in a lightning strike at Sonadia village in Hatia
upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Monir Uddin, 35, son of Mohiuddin of the village.
Witnesses said a streak of thunderbolt struck Monir and his brother Sharif while they
were working in their crop field around 8:30am, leaving them injured.
They were rushed to Hatia Upazila Health Complex in critical condition where Munir
