Lucid Bangla rendering of holy Quran published

Four compilations of lucid bangla rendering of the holy Quran by Moulana Abdus Shahid Nasim, published by the Bangladesh Quran  Sikkha Society were published at the grand ball room of the Sonargaon Hotel on Friday with a call for participatory distribution of the holy book so that the people could read it with understanding.Justice Abdur Rouf, former Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh was the chief guest at the function presided over by Moulana Abdus Shahid Nasim who is also the president of the society. The publication ceremony was held in the presence of a large audience.
The function was addressed by guest of honour Major Gen. (retd) Mokhlesur Rahman, invited guests Dr. Mia Muhammad Ayub, CEO, Centre of Zakat Management, Moulana Shah Waliullah, Khatib, Sobhanbagh Mosque, Mostafa Kamal Majumder, Editor, Greenwatch Dhaka, Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Managing Director, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Mohammad Azharul Islam, Assistant Professor of Law, Dhaka University, Hafizul Islam Mia, secretary general and Principal Muhammad Ashraful Huq, assistant secretary general of Quran  Sikkha Society.
Mrs. Farida Rahman, Prof. Naima Moazzem, Prof. Umme Kulsum, Dr. Zakia Hasra, Engr Mosharraf Hossain, Parveen Akhtar Shiulee, Dr. Selina Begum, Engr Muhammad Habibur Rahman and Muhammad Habibur Rahman spoke giving their impressions at readers of the new compilations.
The Speakers noted the simplicity of the Bangla rendering of the holy Quran by Moulana Abdus Shahid Nasim, that attracts readers to continue reading without any distraction. The authors background of schooling in Madrasah and well as universities made him proficient in both Arabic and Bangla to be able to make this great scholarly contribution, they said.
The speakers underscored the need to doing away with some misgivings and said the holy Quran was a book for the entire humanity, not merely for the Muslims, and can be read and taken by any people in ablution or not, and believer of any religion.
They said that the scourge of corruption and many other evils that have made the society perilous would disappear if the people can read the holy Quran with understanding and follow the ethical values of the code of life that the holy book stands for.
