Dhaka – Suspected killer of Madrasa student Zidan yesterday made confessional before a Dhaka court admitting his involvement in the murder.Magistrate Amirul Haider Chowdhury of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka recorded the confessional statement of Md Abu Bakr and later he was sent to the jail. Earlier, SI Rezaul Karim, Investigation Officer of the case and a Sub-Inspector of Paltan Police Station produced the accused before to court to record his confessional statement.
Police recovered the death body of Zidan from the septic tank of Madinatul Ulum Hafizia Madrasa of Gulistan area in the city on Monday morning. It is presumed that the victim was killed Sunday night. Later, RAB-3 arrested Bakr from Sadar Ghat area on Wednesday morning in connection with the murder. The killer and the victim were class-friends.
The victim was a son of Hafiz Uddin of Gafargaon in the district of Mymensingh. – Special Correspondent
