Dhaka -Mohammad Mahfuzul Hoque Moni and Mohammad Ruhul Amin have been elected president and general secretary (GS) respectively of the Chittagong Taxes Bar Association (CTBA). Election Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Malek today in the morning declared the results of CTBA polls that were held on Sunday. The other office bearers who were elected are Vice President – Tapan Kanti Dutta, Joint Secretary – Mohammad Solaiman, Treasurer- Hasan Miah, Cultural and Sports Secretary – Firoz Alam, Library and Magazine Secretary- Mohammad Aktaruzzaman, Social Welfare Secretary – Advocate Nilufar Yesmin and members – Shekhar Dutta, Amir Hossain, Mohammad Rashedul Hasan, Asaduzzaman Sagor, Mohammad Salauddin, Mohammad Saifur Rahman and Mohammad Abul Kashem Azad. Election commission sources said a total of 1457 voters out of 1879 cast their votes from 8.30 am to till 4.30pm without intermission on Sunday. CTBA sources said a total of 41 candidates vied for the posts of 15 office-bearers including seven executive committee members.Agency
