An unidentified middle-aged man was crushed under the wheels of a speeding passenger train at Challisha area about four kilometres from here on Netrakona – Mymensingh route on Thursday.Local railway officials and police sources said, the accident occurred when the 261 up Mymensingh bound train from Mohanganj ran over the victim while he was crossing a small railway bridge.
Being informed, a railway police team from Mymensingh railway police station rushed to the scene and recovered the body from there and sent it to Netrakona Sadar Hospital for postmortem, officer-in-charge of Mymensingh railway police station Abdus Sattar said.
An unnatural death (UD) case was recorded with Mymensingh railway police station in this connection, the OC added.
