A man was killed in a road accident at Mahishluti bazaar on Hatikomrul-Bonpara highway in Tarash upazial on Monday afternoon.The victim was identified as Saiful Islam Atu, 59, resident of Dobila village in the upazila and a post master of the local post office.Imdadul Haque, officer-in-charge of Hatikomrul Highway Police said the accident took place when a speeding truck hit Saiful while he was crossing the road around 5.00 pm, leaving him critically injured.Later, Saiful succumbed to his injuries on way to Bogra.Police seized the truck but its driver and helper managed to flee the spot.
