Man living in Kuwait for 10 years using fake passport, visa

A man has been living in Kuwait for 10 years with fake identities to hide his original name. Now he is
staying in Bangladesh. He can leave the country any day.
The man has been identified as Md. Monju Mia, 32, son of late Bulu Mia Akhanda of village Gokul
Uttar Para of Sadar Upazila under Bogra district. He has changed his name to Babu Mia son of Lal
Mia of the same village and same address. Now he is using of Babu Mia’s passport and visa. Passport
Number V0395340 dated 30.09.2003 which issued from Rangpur passport office. He had left to
Kuwait from Bangladesh on February 15, 2004 and he came in country on June 12, 2013.
Bogra Sadar Thana police arrested Monju Mia from his residence in Gokul Uttar Para on September
10, morning at around 11am on charge of fraud passport and visa. Md Lal Mia son of late Ismaile
Hossain of the same village submitted a written complaint to the Sadar PS and alleged his neighbour
Monju Mia made passport and Kuwait’s visa by using his son Babu Mia’s identity. Actually, Monu
Mia is not my son. He used my son’s name.
Police released the arrestee from the Thana custody for unknown reason early on September 11.
The complainant alleged that police released the arrestee for financially gain. He would like justice.
Md Ronju Mia, elder brother of Babu Mia told to this reporter that they have given baksheesh Tk
1,00,000 for releasing Babu Mia from the police custody.
Md. Sayed Shaeed Alam, officer in charge (OC) of Bogra Shadar PS said Md. Abdur Razzak, Assistant
Sub Inspector of police (ASI) of the PS held him of his direction in the response of Lal Mia’s
written complaint. He released the accused person after giving a compromising agreement. –Our
