Dhaka – A man was stabbed to death by miscreants at Ershadnagar in Tongi under Gazipur district on Thursday morning, UNB news agency reported.
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, a resident of the area. He returned home from Malaysia a few days ago.Officer-in-charge of Tongi Police Station Firoz Talukder said a gang of miscreants attacked Delwar in front of his house in the area at about 10.00am over a land dispute.
At one stage, the attackers stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured.
Locals rescued Delwar and took him to Tongi Government Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
