A man was stabbed to death in an attack allegedly by his niece’s lover at Bagdob village in Boraigram upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Haripad Mandal, 50, a resident of the village.Police said Haripad’s niece Mita had love affair with one Robin Chandra of the village.As Robin tried to pick up Mita from her house at night Haripad and his wife Bishakha Mandal resisted him.At one stage, Robin stabbed Haripad and Bishikha Mandal, leaving both of them critically injured.They were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where Haripad succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning.Meanwhile, police arrested Robin from Khaksha village of the upazila. –UNB, Natore
