A schoolboy was beaten to death allegedly by his neighbours at Charkachhia Mollarhat village in Raipur upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Salman Shah, 16, student of Class X of L K H High School and son of Imam Hossain of the village.Local people said there was a longstanding dispute between Imam Hossain and Taslim Chowdhury over a piece of land.As Taslim and his people tried to damage the road of Imam Hossain’s house, Imam and his son Salman tried to resist them, triggering a clash in the morning.Salman was beaten to death during the clash while Imam sustained injuries. Imam Hossain was rushed to a local hospital.Police arrested Ali Ahmed, Rony, Taher and Humayun Kabir in this connection.Police recovered the Salman’s body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
