Maritime ports asked to hoist local cautionary signal no 3

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no three as the low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and

adjoining area moved slightly northward and now lies over West Bengal and adjoining Bihar area.

Under its influence deep convection is continuing over North Bay and adjoining areas, said a Met office bulletin.

Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to keep close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice, reports BSS.
