Massive irregularities in BAU employee recruitment exam

Mymensingh, May 18 – Massive irregularities has been alleged in Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) third-grade employee recruitment exam held on Sunday.
According to the university sources, the university administration issued a circular for more than one hundred posts in two phases in 2014 and 2017 year for the recruitment of third class employees. About three thousand candidates applied for the posts.
Candidates were asked to bring national ID cards to participate in the examination but in many centres, this requirement was not followed. Candidates complained that many had given permission to participate in the examination hall without National ID, many were allowed to enter the exam center late, many were allowed to participate with the online copy of the National ID.
Some exam centers, however, were strict regarding the original National ID card. For this reason, about 40-50 persons were not to able to take part in the recruitment exam. Many such candidates have expressed their anger over such irregularities and raised the question about the transparency of appointment.
The recruitment committee president Prof Dr S D Chowdhury said that it was clear instructions on the admit card to bring National ID cards at the exam centers. So, without the National ID card, participates were not allowed to sit in the exam center. But Pro VC allowed candidates to participate without the original National ID card copy. For this reason, it was not to possible take exams of many candidates.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Jasimuddin Khan said many people will say many things as recruitment test was held after a long time. However, the recruitment test was done properly. – BAU Correspondent
