Police arrested three suspected militants including an woman along with jihadi books, leaflets, CDs and other propaganda materials from an orphanage on Thursday.
The arrestees were identified as Saidur Rahman, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Haribhanga village in Patharghata upazila of Barguna district, Sobahan Mia, son of Mostabuddin Mia of Kulpadhi area in Sadar upazila, and Mahmuda Sikdar, wife of Hamayet Hossain of Shibchar upazila of Madaripur district.
Police said they conducted the drive at to orphanage of Madaripur Islamic Orphanage Project on Thursday night and arrested the trio along with 80 jihadi books, 172 leaflets, two CDs and other propaganda equipments.
Officer-in charge of Sadar Police Station Ziaul Morshed confirmed the incident.
