A minor school boy was killed when a battery-run auto rickshaw crushed him in Chengmari area on the Gangachara-Gajoghontha road under Gangachara upazila here today, police said.The deceased was identified as Nishat Hossain, 6, a student of class one of Chengmari Government Primary School in the same upazila.Nishat was going to his school on foot when the accident occurred.Being informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it for conducting autopsy at Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue.
Officer-in-Charge of Gangachara Model Thana Abdul Mannan said that driver of the killer auto-rickshaw was arrested and a case filed in this connection. -BSS, Rangpur
