Police recovered the body of a minor girl cut into six pieces at Nijampur village in Kolapara upazila on Tuesday night, five hours after he had gone missing.The deceased was identified as Sumi, 6, daughter of late Hamed Ali of the same village.Six pieces of hands, legs, head and other parts of the body of Sumi were recovered from different areas of the village at about 10:15 pm, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Kolapara Police Station Azizul Islam.Quoting locals, police said Sumi went out of her house in the afternoon for coaching but she did not return home.After searching her, local people found the cut pieces of Sumi’s body in the area and informed police.Police recovered the body parts and sent those to hospital morgue for an autopsy.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Patuakhali
