The authority of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has decided to resume student bus from today (Monday) on mirpur route facing protest of Bangladesh Chhatra Union (BCU) JU unit here at the campus.On the face of movement JU Proctor Tapan Kumar Shaha and acting transport teacher Prof Emdadul Haque announced the decision.
The newly launched bus will start on Monday from Mirpur-10 on 7:30am for campus and go back there on 3:00pm.
Earlier, around 11:30am leaders and activists of BCU led by President of BCU JU unit Dipanjan Sidhanto Kajol and General Secretary Abid Sarkar Shohag brought out a protest procession, parading different street and confined the university transport office for 2 hours.
Dipanjan Sidhanto said the university authority fulfill our demand after movement and again we start movement protesting corruption and guilty on the transport sector.
Mentionable that student bus on Mirpur route was launched till 2010, but in 2011 the university authorities close it. – JU Correspondent
