National Consumers Rights Protection Department conducted a drive with
mobile court against use of formalin in fish and fruits in the town on
Thursday.
The mobile court, led by Deputy Director of the department, Md Shah
Alam raided various fish markets and fruit shops in the town.
During the raid, mobile team realized Tk 6,000 as fine from two fruit
shops for selling formalin contaminated mango at Gaitpar area in the
town.
The mobile team also damaged the contaminated mango in presence of a
large number of people.
