Rashahi – A mobile court has sentenced 8 men to imprisonment for different terms in Rajshahi on Wednesday.
The court of Executive Magistrate Hamidul Islam has given those imprisonments on different allegations.The sentenced persons are – Kajol son of Tawhid Fakhir, his wife Shilpi Begum of Palashi Fatehpur, Ishrafil son of Omed Biswash of Bausha Dandhapur area, Shapla Khatun daughter of Yeasin Ali of Baharampur, Tushar son of Afaz Uddin of Narayanpur area, Rashel son of Sapahar Ali, Rana son of Alal Uddin, Budu Miya son of Abdur Razzak all from different villages of Bagha Upazila of the district.
The officer in Charge of Bagha Police Station Ali Mahmud Payal said, they were detained on charge of involvement in smuggling and drug traficking. Later, the Executive magistrate punished them to imprisonment.
