A mobile court had sealed seven private clinics in Hariankundu uapzila town in Jhenidah on Tuesday for irregularities.The court also fined the clinic owners Taka 35 thousand when they had failed to show any fulltime physicians and nurses for their treatment centers before the court during the operation.
The sealed clinics are Shikha Private Hospital and diagnostic centre, Bhai Bhai Private hospital, Anwara Clinic, Resido Private Hospital, Janaseba Diagnostic centre, Arafat Diagnostic centre and Satabdi Diagnostic centre of the upazila town.
Jhenidah District Civil Surgeon Dr. Nasrin Sultana said, some local people after the death incident of patient at a clinic in Harinakundu upazila town, alleged that no private clinic in the town have any full time physician and nurse for proper treatment for the patients.
Acting on a tip off, she arranged the mobile court in the afternoon of Tuesday. The court during the time could not see any full time physician and nurse in the private clinics.
The clinics could be reopened if the clinic owners could fulfill the terms and conditions of the health department, Dr. Nasrin added.
