An alleged terrorist was stabbed to death by his rivals in Baburail area of Fatulla upazial on Tuesday.The deceased was identified as Mahabub Hossain Parvez,30, son of Mamtaz Mia of Baburail area.
Locals and family members said Parvez and his rivals of Mamun-Nazir group squabbled over taking control of cable television business in the area on Monday.
Sujon, brother of Parvez, said some 20-25 youths including Mamun, Nazir and Nipu attacked Parvez with sharp weapons at Baburail Bazar on Tuesday evening around 6.00pm.
Sujon took severely injured Parvez to Narayanganj General Hospital.
Parvez later died while being taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Sub-inspector of Fatulla Model Thana Kobir Hossain confirmed the incident.
Police said Parvez’s name is on the list of terrorists with Fatulla Model Thana.
