Monument to be built for Indian soldiers: Minister

The government has planned to construct a monument in honour of the Indian army personnel who sacrificed their lives for Bangladesh’s liberation in 1971.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said this while responding a starred question from Nazmul Huq Prodhan (Panchagar-1) in Parliament.“As no separate monument or mausoleum is there in honour of the Indian Army personnel, the government has planned to build one for them,” the Minister said.
Prodhan in his question said a total of 3,630 Indian army personnel were killed during the Liberation War of Bangladesh, but there is no separate monument for them. – UNB
