Dhaka – A woman and her daughter were killed as a CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head-on with a private car on the Chowmuhani-Sonaimuri road near Sonaimuri upazila complex in Noakhali this morning.The deceased are Hasina Akhter, 38, and her daughter Himu Akhter, 12, residents of Ghoskanta village under Nateshor union of the upazila.Sub-Inspector of Sonaimuri Police Station Tomash Barua said the accident occurred when the auto rickshaw collided head-on with a training private car in the area at about 11 am, leaving auto rickshaw passengers Hasina and Himu dead on the spot.Police recovered the bodies and sent to Noakhali Medical College Hospital morgue.-BSS
