A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Chandra area under Kaliakair upazila of the district yesterday.The deceased was identified as Rana Ahmed, 35, son of Ahsanul Haque of Abdulpur village under Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia district.The accident occurred when a Gazipur-bound truck hit Rana’s motorbike in the area at 8:15am, leaving him dead on the spot, said officer in charge of Konabari highway thana M Daud.Police arrested the truck driver and seized the vehicle, the OC added. -BSS, Gazipur
