Moudud’s son dead

Aman Momtaz Moudud, only son of BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed, died early yesterday.

Aman, 36, a British national was suffering from fever since Wednesday and was admitted to city’s United Hospital on Saturday morning where he was diagnosed with dengue, said BNP chairperson’s press wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

Taking their son, Moudud Ahmed and his wife Hasna Moudud flew to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore by an air ambulance from the hospital around 12:20am of Tuesday, Mominur Rahman Sujon, personal secretary of Moudud Ahmed told TDS.

But Aman breathed his last on the lap of his parents around 4:30am, minutes after landing in Singapore, he added quoting Moudud Ahmed.

Aman’s body has been kept in the mortuary of the Singapore hospital and is likely to fly Dhaka within after completing necessary formalities at the hospital, Sujon added.
