Police managed to arrest an accused in a murder case from Tanbazar Rallybagan of the district town, 12 hours after he escaped from
custody. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Narayanganj Model Police Station Manjur Qader said the accused named Rony Mia fled away from police custody in the court area in the district town at about 10.00am.
On secret information that Rony took shelter with his relatives in the area after escaping from the court, a team of police conducted a drive in Rallybagan area of the town at about 10.00pm and managed to capture him, also said the OC.
Police and witnesses said police had arrested three accused, including Rony, on Friday night, in a case filed in connection with killing of
garment worker Mahbub Alam in Fatullah of Narayanganj Sadar upazila.
