Music video of Baishakhi song to be released soon

Music video of the song “Elo Re Bhai Notun Shaje Pahela Baishakh” will be released soon over the internet and on satellite channels. It has been sung by Dinat Jahan Munni, Pratik Hasan, Sabbir and Oishi and written by Shahid Rahman. It has been shot in the sub-district of Doha in Dhaka and in Manikganj. The song is part of the recently released album “Shadher Nagar.” The album features nine songs eight of which are modern recreations of Bangladeshi folk songs. The one mentioned above is the only one that has been made for paying tribute to the Bengali new year of 1423 with original lyrics by Shahid. The album has been jointly produced by G-Series and Agniveena. Shahid Rahman is the lyricist of all the songs of the album. The album is a fusion of Bengali folk and contemporary genre.

Celebrated singers Kumar Bishwajit, Momtaz, Shafi Mondol, Fakir Shahabuddin, Dinat Jahan Munni have voiced along with promising singers Askhik, Pratik, Pulak, Sabbir, Nishita and Oishi to the tunes of the album.

Music album “Shadher Nagar” featuring eleven popular singers was released on April 9 at the central auditorium of Chhayanaut, Dhanmondi in the city. Human rights activist advocate Sultana Kamal, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Media Adviser to the Prime Minister; veteran litterateur Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay; cultural personality Kamal Lohani; thespian Ramendu Mazumdar; senior journalist Abed Khan; filmmaker Morshedul Islam; senior journalist Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul and Noim Nizam, editor of Bangladesh Pratidin were present among others as guests of honour at the album launching event.
