Dhaka – A musical program was held on Friday, 9 December 2016 at Alliance Française, Dhaka performed by the folk band Joler Gaan on the occasion of closing ceremony of the exhibition titled An Untimely Story by artist Monjurul Shibly.
The lyrics of Joler Gaan are based on human stories. Few lyrics are collected from various sources. Some songs are especially written. Joler Gaan makes new instruments and sometimes customizes foreign ones. The instruments of Joler Gaan are usually portable, and do not require electric wires and jacks. – Press release
