Mymensingh -Eight people, including four of a family, were killed in a fatal road accident on Mymensingh-Netrakona road in Sadar upazila on Thursday noon.Seven of the deceased were identified as Kajal Fakir, 35, his wife Shirina Akhter, 30, their two sons-Tahsin and Touhid of Purba Dhola of Netrkona district, auto rickshaw driver Saidul, 30, and two other passengers Ashraful Islam and Ujjal Miah. The accident took place around 12pm when a Netrakona-bound truck collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction at Gachtala, leaving eight auto-rickshaw passengers dead on the spot, said officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Kamrul Islam.On information, fire service officials recovered the bodies and took those to Mymensingh Kotwali Police Station.Police seized the truck but its driver and his helper managed to flee the scene.
