Dhaka, 23 – A UP member and local leader of was hacked to death by some criminals at Tulatoli village under Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district on January 22 at night about 11.00 pm.The deceased UP member was identified as Mujibur Rahman 48 son of Sultan Mia of Tulatoli Village and he was UP Member of Alipura Union Parishad under Raipura upazila and he was also prersident of Olipura Union BNP.
Police, and Family member said, on Sunday night UP member Mujibur Rahman was returning home from Raipura bazar at about 11.00 pm. When he reached Tulatoli village reached near his house some 10 to 12 armed miscreants attacked him and started indiscriminately stabbing him (UP member). The criminals managed to flee confirmingd death of the BNP leader.
Local people found his body and informed his family members and local Raipura thana. On information Raipura thana police rushed to spot, recovered his body and sent it to Narsingdi sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
OC Raipura Hazharul Islam said that in previous enmity UP member Mujibur was hacked to death by his cousin Akter Mia and associates.
OC said about few days ago Mujibur filed a General Diary (GD) against his cousin Akter and his associates. Earlier on two ocasions Akter tryed to kill Mujibur but failed. OC said Akter contested UP member post against Mujibur two times but failed. Mujibur win made Akter furious and hence plan to kill him. In preplanned Akter killed Mujibur with help of hired criminals, according to GD filed with the thana. – GW News Desk
