National Savings Week-2014 has begun in the district on Saturday as elsewhere in the country with a call to ensure economical security of the investors and increase the investment in the country.
This year’s theme of the week is “Invest in Savings, Remain Safe and Risk Free”.An inaugural session organized by district administration and National
Savings Directorate was held at the auditorium of Public Library and Club of the town here with Assistant director (AD) of the directorate M Anisur Rahman in the chair.Additional deputy commissioner (General) M Abu Bakar Siddique inaugurated the week as the chief guest.Speaking on the occasion, the speakers in their speeches said any kind of savings undoubtedly helped the investors overcome their hardship at the time of emergency side by side with strengthening the country’s economy.AD M Anisur Rahman urged all to invest money against different schemes including 5-year Bangladesh Sanchayapatra, 3-monthly Profitable Sanchayapatra and Pensioner Sanchayapatra in the district savings office.Earlier, a colorful rally was brought out and ended on the premises of the club after parading main roads of the town. -BSS, Gaibandha
