Police arrested the main accused in the sensational farmer Nazrul
kidnap case after nearly one year of the incident from Kandapara
Hatkhula area in sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.The arrestee was identified as Babu Munsi,38, son of Joynal Mondol at
Kandapara village.
Officer-in-charge (OC) Aminul Islam of Kamarkhando Police Station said
police arrested Babu from the area at noon.
On June 13 last year, Babu along with one Gulam Rabbani, a resident of
Ariamuhan village, kidnapped Nazrul, son of freedom fighter Solaiman
Sarkar, resident of Jhaul village under Kamarkhanda upazila,
impersonating Rab personnel.
And since then Babu had remained absconding.
Later, a case was filed in this connection accusing three people
including Babu and Rabbani.
After passage of nearly one year of the incident of abduction, Nazrul
is still untraced.
