Dgaka – Netrokona District Police team clinched the Mymensingh Range DIG Cup T20 Cricket Tournament title beating hosts Sherpur District Police team by 99 runs in the final at the local Police Lines ground in Sherpur on Saturday.
Netrokona team batted first after winning the toss and piled up 187 for 9 in 20 overs with Saddam making 35, Samiul not out 31 and Akhter 31 runs.Rony and Hafizur grabbed two wickets each conceding 30 and 50 runs respectively.
In reply, Sherpur Police team was bundled out for 88 runs in 13.1 overs with Arafat scoring 33 and Shohag 17 runs.
Ferdous bowled devastatingly to grab six wickets for 30 runs and was adjudged man of the final.
All-rounder Saddam Hossain of the champion team was adjudged the man of the series scoring total 131 runs and one wicket.
DIG of Mymensingh Range Nibas Chandra Mazi was the chief guest in the day’s final and later he distributed the prizes.UNB
