Dhaka – Bikalpadhara Bangladesh joint secretary Mahi B Chowdhury on Sunday said no acceptable election could be held without caretaker government.
“We have to start politics based on knowledge and wisdom since country’ people don’t want politics of revenge anymore,” he said while addressing a discussion meeting on the role of students to resolve political crisis.Organised by Bikalpa Chhatradhara Bangladesh, the meeting was held at the National Press Club with its president Wasiul Haque Chowdhury in the chair.
Mahi Chowdhury called upon the students to understand the real politics and practice that.
The Bikalpadhara leader urged Prime Minister’s son Sajib Wazed Joy to make a promise to stay in the country for next five years.
“You (Joy) come to the country after some days and left it after showing dream. If you wish welfare of the country you should make a pledge to stay here for next five years,” he said.
Mahi questioned Joy as to he was making pledges from his which organisational position. As leader of new generation, he asked whether Joy would bear all responsibilities of Chhatra League or Juba League.
He also called upon the opposition leader to explain her new dimensional government that she pledged bound to present the people.

Police, last shelter of people: Hasina
Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, categorically said police forces have to work for the people to attain their trust and respect as the force is the last shelter of people.
The premier came up with the assertion while addressing an inaugural ceremony of newly-built NCCOM center (Crime control and Operation Monitoring Center) for Bangladesh police on Sunday morning.
Sheikh Hasina also said that Awami League is working for modernization of police forces since the independence.
The programme was attended, among others, by Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Japanese ambassador Shiro Sadoshima, State Minister for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku, Home Ministry senior secretary CQK Mostaq Ahmed and Police IG Hasan Mahmud Khandaker.
