Admission test schedule for the session 2017-18 of Dhaka University has been announced. Other universities will announce their schedules soon. Around nineteen thousand students got GPA 5 under the Dhaka board alone. There are nine boards in Bangladesh.Seats under the prestigious public universities are very limited compared to even GPA 5 achievers. Every year IBA takes only 120 students and same number of seats are there in BUET for CSE department.
So, students have to apply to as many universities as they can which is a huge cost involved and they have to travel from one end of the country to the other with their guardians and it a quite impossible for them to attend many admission tests as these are happening at the same time. Soon after completing their HSC exams rushed to coaching centres at huge costs plus mental and physical torture to prepare for the admission tests.
I would like to request to our honourable PM, education minister, secretary of education and concerned authorities to take action immediately to admit students in the public and private universities without admission test or only one or two tests.
