A middle-aged man was found dead in an orchard in Kashimnagar area of Paikgachha upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Harun-or-Rashid, 40, son of one Nafel Morol of Machhiara village in Tala upazila in Satkhira district.
Locals spotted the body and informed police who later recovered and sent it to Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Police said Harun might be have been beaten and strangulated on Friday midnight and the body was dumped in the abandoned orchard owned by Swapon Kumar of Kashempur area.
Police arrested two persons – Harun’s second wife Chaina Khatun and her nephew Billal – suspecting their involvement in the killing. -UNB, Khulna
