One gets life -term for phensydil peddling

A trial court in Barisal  on Thursday sentenced one accused to life term imprisonment and fined Tk.10,000 or more one year imprisonment in default  for peddling phensydil.Dilip Kumar Bhoumik, First Additional District and Session Judge of Barisal, announced this verdict on Thursday afternoon against absconding accused Enamul Huq after examining 11 witnesses and other evidences.
Enamul became absconding after getting bail from higher court .
Court sources said Rapid Action Battalion arrested Enamul of Benapole under Jessore district with 2.5 liter Phensydil from Syed Hatem Ali College area of the city on January 11,2010.
Zamiruddin, deputy assistant director of RAB, lodged a case in this connection with Kotwali police station on the same day.
Sub Inspector Iranul Huq, investigation officer of the case, filed charge sheet against the accused on February 4 of the same year.
