One held, 25 gold bars recovered

Dhaka – Railway police arrested a man along with 25 gold bars from Kamalapur Railway Station on Monday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Joynal Abedin, 57, hailing from Chittagong.
Abdul Majid, officer-in-charge of Kamalapur Government Railway Police Station said being tipped off, the law enforcers frisked Joynal Abedin, who came from Chittagong by ‘Turna-Nishita Express’ around 7:30am.
Police recovered the gold bars, weighing around 3kg and worth TK 1.5 crore, which was hidden inside a new shoe, added the OC.
