Police arrested a man for impersonating a Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel in Daudkandi upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The law enforcers also recovered the elite force’s uniform, a walkie-talkie and a hand-cuff from the arrestee identified as Hiron,son of Fazlul Haque Hawlader of Kutubpur village in Gouranadi upazila of Barisal.Following a tip-off, police arrested Hiron from Gouripur Hospital in Comilla where he was undergoing treatment, police sources said, adding that he had a plan to commit a large scale crime in Daudkandi upazila.
