Police arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 35 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Sahebganj area in Raiganj upazila on Saturday.
The arrestee was identified as Abbas Ali, son of late Jendar Ali and a resident of Rambari Islampur village in Shahjadpur upazila of the district.Rashedul Islam Biswas, officer-in-charge of Salanga Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police intercepted Abbas while he was going to Dhaka in a motorcycle and arrested him.The law enforces recovered 35 bottles of the contraband drug after searching his motorcycle.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Sirajganj
