A fisherman was killed and four others injured as a fishing boat capsized in the Meghna River in Basondanga area on Monday.Police said a Hatia-bound passenger trawler from Dhaka named ‘MV Faran’ rammed a fishing boat in the area early morning on Monday.
Kamal, a fisherman who was on board of the capsized boat, went missing since the accident while three other fishermen—Ruhul Amin, Nur Nabi, Kiron and Rafique – suffered injuries.Other fishermen rescued the injured and sent them to Barishal Sadar Hospital.Later, fishermen recovered the body of Kamal from near the capsize spot and sent it to Barishal Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. -UNB, Bhola
