42,000 Yaba tablets recovered in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 42,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from a boat at Damdamia area in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Monday morning.Lt Col Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB battalion-2, said tipped off that a boat carrying a consignment of Yaba tablets was to arrive at Omor Khal from Myanmar, a team of the border guards conducted a drive in the area at about 6:30am.

Sensing the presence of the BGB team, the smugglers left the boat and managed to flee from the area, leaving behind a packet containing 42,000 pieces of Yaba tablet.Later, the BGB members recovered the packet from the boat. –UNB, Cox’s Bazar
