One passenger was killed when he fell from a running Nasiman
(mechanized van) in Fakirhat Upazila in the district on Tuesday The
deceased was identified as Durbin Shaikh (32), son of one Elahi Box of
village Tetulia in Satkhira district.
It is learnt from Abdul Aziz, Officer-in-charge of Highways the
Nasiman laden with mangoes was going from Khuna to Mollahat Upazila in
the district via Fakirhat and when it was crossing a speed breaker the
ill-fated man who was sleeping on it fell from it and was fatally
injured. He was rushed to Fakirhat Upazila Helth Complex where he
succumbed to his injuries while he was being given treatment. Police
of Fakirhat PS recovered the dead body and sent it to Bagerhat morgue
for its autopsy.
