A truck helper was killed and its driver injured in a road accident in Sukdara area on the Mongla-Khulna highway here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Jewel, 24, of Rupsa area in Khulna district.Police said the accident occurred when a cement-laden truck hit a roadside tree in the area as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving its helper Jewel dead on the spot and driver Dulal injured.Dulal was sent to Khulna medical College Hospital. –BSS, Bagerhat
